ASHEVILLE, N.C. — In a thrilling game on Saturday, UNC Asheville emerged victorious over High Point with a final score of 103-99, highlighted by a stellar performance from Jordan Marsh, who tallied 29 points.

As the game approached its final moments, High Point narrowed the gap to 99-97, putting pressure on Asheville. However, UNC Asheville remained composed, converting all four of their free throw attempts in the closing seconds to secure the win.

In addition to his scoring, Marsh contributed significantly to the Bulldogs’ success with eight assists, helping his team to improve their record to 10-5 overall and 1-0 in the Big South Conference. Toyaz Solomon also played a key role, scoring 22 points with an impressive shooting performance, going 11 for 14 from the field, and grabbing five rebounds. Josh Banks rounded out the scoring surge, finishing with 20 points after shooting 5 of 10 overall and making three 3-pointers out of six attempts while sinking 7 of 10 from the free throw line.

For the Panthers, Bobby Pettiford was the standout performer, leading his team with 24 points and providing four assists.
