MIAMI — Florida International University achieved a decisive victory over Western Kentucky with an impressive score of 85-66 on Saturday, driven by the performance of Asim Jones, who recorded 17 points along with three steals for the Panthers (7-8, 1-1 Conference USA).

Notably, Dashon Gittens also made significant contributions, netting 14 points, while showcasing his all-around abilities with seven rebounds and four steals. Jonathan Aybar supported the team as well, scoring 12 points throughout the game.

On the opposing side, Julius Thedford led the Hilltoppers (10-5, 1-1) with a solid performance, contributing 18 points to his team’s effort. Don McHenry added a valuable 12 points alongside three steals, while Tyrone Marshall rounded out the scoring for Western Kentucky with nine points.
