PORTLAND, Oregon — In an impressive display on Tuesday, Portland State triumphed over Walla Walla with a commanding score of 96-39, led by Jaylin Henderson, who showcased his scoring prowess with 24 points.
Beyond his offensive contributions, Henderson also made an impact on the boards, securing six rebounds, and demonstrated his defensive skills with three steals for the Vikings, who improved their record to 8-5.
Hayden Curtiss was another key player for Portland State, adding 15 points and nearly achieving a double-double with nine rebounds. Cole Farrell also played a vital role in the victory, contributing 14 points to the scoreboard.
On the other side, Walla Walla struggled to find their rhythm, with Almonds Sebirokwa leading the Wolves off the bench by scoring nine points. Soren Dalan and Andrew Vaughan each added eight points, but it wasn’t enough to close the gap against a dominant Vikings team.
This win showcases Portland State’s abilities as they move forward in the season, indicating a strong teamwork dynamic and a diversified scoring potential among the players.
