OMAHA, Neb. — In a tightly contested matchup on Tuesday night, Steven Ashworth led Creighton to a narrow 57-56 victory over St. John’s, putting an end to the Red Storm’s impressive six-game winning streak.

Ashworth not only recorded 18 points but also made significant contributions with five rebounds and three steals for the Bluejays, improving their record to 9-5 overall and 2-1 in the Big East Conference. Ryan Kalkbrenner was also pivotal in the game, scoring 16 points while grabbing nine rebounds and recording five blocks. Isaac Traudt chipped in with nine points, successfully draining three shots from beyond the arc.

On the other side, the Red Storm, who now sit at 11-3 overall and 2-1 in conference play, were spearheaded by Zuby Ejiofor’s performance. Ejiofor scored 16 points, secured eight rebounds, and had two steals.
