HAMDEN, Conn. — In a thrilling overtime matchup, Quinnipiac emerged victorious over Hofstra, securing a 75-69 win on Sunday, fueled by a standout performance from Amarri Tice, who netted 20 points.

Tice also showcased his versatility by grabbing 11 rebounds and recording three blocks. Paul Otieno made a significant contribution as well, scoring 17 points and pulling down 14 rebounds. Jaden Zimmerman added depth to the scoring, finishing the game with 10 points on 4-for-8 shooting but struggled from beyond the arc and the free-throw line, hitting just one of five free-throw attempts.

On the other side, Jean Aranguren was the top performer for the Pride, contributing 23 points along with eight rebounds, six assists, and three steals. Cruz Davis supported with 14 points and a pair of steals, while Michael Graham provided a solid presence in the paint with eight points, 13 rebounds, and three blocks.

Quinnipiac held a narrow lead at halftime, leading 36-32. Tice was instrumental in the first half, leading his team in scoring with 10 points. However, the Bobcats faced challenges in the second half, getting outscored by Hofstra, resulting in a tied game at the end of regulation at 63-63. Aranguren’s two critical free throws with just 38 seconds remaining in the game set the stage for the overtime period.

In the extra period, Quinnipiac found their rhythm, with Otieno scoring two of his three field goal attempts, ultimately helping the Bobcats secure their hard-fought victory.
