OMAHA, Neb. — In an impressive showing on Saturday night, Marquel Sutton contributed significantly to the Omaha Mavericks’ commanding 81-51 win over the Mount Marty Lancers, an NAIA team.
Sutton put up a remarkable performance, scoring 20 points while also grabbing eight rebounds and making three steals as the Mavericks improved their record to 6-9.
Lance Waddles was another standout player for Omaha, adding 19 points and securing seven rebounds. Isaac Ondekane also played a role in the victory, scoring eight points with a shooting percentage of 75%, including going 2 for 5 at the free-throw line.
On the opposing side, Mount Marty was led by Tash Lunday, who scored 14 points and collected seven boards. His efforts were matched by Brandon Garcia, who also tallied 14 points in the game. Additionally, Rugby Ryken contributed seven points to the Lancers’ total.
