PITTSBURGH — On Friday night, Jakub Necas played a key role in leading Duquesne to a commanding victory over Cleary, finishing the game with a total of 15 points in the 93-45 win.
Necas also contributed five rebounds for the Dukes, who now hold a record of 5-8. Eli Wilborn was a significant presence on the court, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and recording three blocks. Additionally, Cam Crawford made his mark by scoring 12 points while shooting an efficient 5 for 8, including two successful three-pointers out of five attempts.
On the other side, Cleary struggled to make an impact on the scoreboard despite Chris Williams and AJ Hess each contributing eight points.
Duquesne set the tone early, heading into halftime with a comfortable 49-22 lead, fueled by Crawford’s 10 points in the first half. The Dukes further widened their lead with a powerful 14-0 run in the second half, pushing their advantage to an impressive 43 points. Necas showcased his scoring ability in the latter part of the game by netting 11 points.
