Michigan defensive lineman Kenneth Grant announces entry into NFL draft

ANN ARBOR, Michigan — Kenneth Grant, a standout defensive lineman for the University of Michigan, has made the decision to forego his final college season and enter the NFL draft.
Grant, who was an integral part of the Wolverines’ successful campaign that culminated in a national championship in 2023, shared his announcement via a post on X, the platform previously known as Twitter, on Thursday.

His teammate, Mason Graham, who also plays on Michigan’s defensive line, has already declared for the draft as well. Both players are anticipated to be highly sought after, with projections suggesting they could be first-round selections.

Standing at 6 feet 3 inches and weighing 339 pounds, Grant earned recognition as a third-team Associated Press All-American. Over the course of the season, he recorded 32 tackles, along with 6.5 tackles for loss and two fumble recoveries. Notably, Grant’s performance was crucial during the Big Ten regular-season finale where Michigan triumphed over Ohio State, contributing four tackles to the victory.

In addition to Grant and Graham, cornerback Will Johnson and tight end Colston Loveland have also announced their intentions to enter the draft as the team looks ahead to their matchup against No. 11 Alabama in the ReliaQuest Bowl.
