MIRAMAR, Fla. — A tragic incident unfolded outside an IHOP restaurant in South Florida on Wednesday, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to another, according to law enforcement reports.
Authorities stated that the three adults involved were acquainted, indicating that there was no broader threat to the community of Miramar. Janice McIntosh, a representative of the Miramar Police Department, assured the public that the incident did not stem from random acts of violence.
“We are currently not seeking any suspects,” McIntosh confirmed, seeking to alleviate concerns among residents and patrons in the area.
Officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving notifications about gunfire at the restaurant. Upon their arrival, they discovered the victims in the parking lot. Emergency medical personnel transported them to a local hospital, where tragically, two of the victims succumbed to their injuries.
