GRAND BAIE, Mauritius — English golfer John Parry staged an impressive comeback in the final round of the Mauritius Open on Sunday, overcoming a five-stroke deficit to secure his second title on the European Tour, marking his first win in 14 years.

Parry showcased remarkable skill, recording seven birdies and an eagle to finish with a remarkable score of 8-under 64 earlier in the day, which set the clubhouse lead at a total of 14-under 274.

In a closely contested battle for the next two spots, both South African players, Dylan Naidoo, who shot a 71, and Christo Lamprecht with a 65, ended up tied for second place, two strokes behind Parry.

Another South African competitor, Jovan Rebula, managed a score of 70, placing him in fourth with a total of 11-under.

It has been quite some time since Parry celebrated a top-tier victory, with his last win occurring at the Vivendi Cup in 2010. However, he found success on the second-tier European Challenge Tour, securing three victories this year alone.
