MUGLA, Turkey — On Sunday morning, a tragic accident occurred when an ambulance helicopter crashed in the southwest region of Turkey, resulting in the death of all four individuals on board.

The helicopter, carrying two pilots, a medical doctor, and a healthcare professional, was departing from Mugla to transport a patient from a nearby province, Antalya. During the ascent, the helicopter collided with the hospital facility from which it had taken off before plummeting into a nearby field.

Idris Akbiyik, the Governor of Mugla, reported that the weather conditions featured dense fog at the time of the helicopter’s departure. He also indicated that an investigation into the crash is currently underway to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
