CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — Southeast Missouri State achieved an impressive victory over SIU-Edwardsville, finishing the game with a score of 80-64 on Saturday evening.

BJ Ward played a significant role in this triumph, contributing 18 points to the team’s overall performance. He made 6 out of 14 field goal attempts, showing strong proficiency from three-point range by sinking 4 of 10.

Brendan Terry also had a notable game, scoring 17 points while demonstrating accurate shooting, going 7 for 9 from the field and 3 for 4 from the free-throw line. He further contributed by grabbing eight rebounds, showcasing his all-around abilities.

Tedrick Washington Jr. matched Terry’s scoring output, also finishing with 17 points. He shot 6 for 13 overall, including 2 for 4 from beyond the three-point line and successfully completed all three of his free-throw attempts.

On the other side, Ray’Sean Taylor was the leading scorer for the Cougars, securing 16 points during the game. Brian Taylor II also made an impact, contributing 15 points to the team’s overall tally. Ring Malith supported the efforts with eight points and six rebounds, rounding out the performance for SIU-Edwardsville.

This victory improved Southeast Missouri State’s record to 6 wins and 6 losses, with a 2-0 standing in the Ohio Valley Conference, while SIU-Edwardsville fell to 7 wins and 6 losses, remaining winless in conference play at 0-2.
