STOCKTON, Calif. — In a dynamic performance, Kolton Mitchell topped the scoreboard with 32 points, guiding Idaho to a convincing 95-72 victory over Pacific on Saturday evening.
Mitchell not only excelled in scoring but also contributed significantly to the Vandals (5-8) defense with six assists and three steals. Kristian Gonzalez was a key player as well, scoring 20 points on an impressive shooting night, making 7 of 11 attempts, including 3 of 7 from beyond the arc, and going a perfect 3 for 3 at the free-throw line. Gonzalez also secured six rebounds to aid his team’s efforts. Julius Mims rounded out a strong offensive performance for Idaho, going 7 for 10 from the floor to accumulate 14 points while also grabbing nine rebounds and blocking three shots. Tyler Linhardt matched Mims’ point total, contributing another 14 points to the team’s cause.
For the Tigers (5-9), Elias Ralph stood out, leading the team in scoring with 18 points alongside seven rebounds. Lamar Washington also had a notable night, adding 14 points, dishing out six assists, and recording two blocks.
