JONESBORO, Ark.
— In a strong showing, Josh Hill scored 26 points as Arkansas State defeated Coastal Carolina with a score of 97-67 on Saturday.
Hill was impressive, hitting 9 of 15 attempts, which included a solid 6 out of 12 from three-point range for the Red Wolves, who now stand at 10-3 overall and 1-0 in the Sun Belt Conference.
Alongside him, Joseph Pinion contributed significantly with 19 points, making 5 of 10 from the field, with 4 of those coming from beyond the arc, and sinking 5 of 6 free throws. He also recorded five rebounds and three steals in the game.
Taryn Todd added to their success with 13 points, shooting 6 for 11 from the floor, along with five rebounds and six assists.

On the opposing side, Jordan Battle led the Chanticleers with 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds, while Colin Granger contributed a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Denzel Hines also made his mark on the game, scoring 13 points and securing 10 rebounds.

Arkansas State is set to face Old Dominion on Thursday for an away match, whereas Coastal Carolina will host Warner on Sunday.
