FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — In a dominating performance, Jonas Aidoo showcased his skills with a double-double, scoring 17 points as Arkansas triumphed over North Carolina A&T with a score of 95-67 on Saturday. This victory marked the Razorbacks’ fifth consecutive win, solidifying their strong season.
Aidoo demonstrated his offensive and defensive prowess by making 7 of 13 shots and securing 11 rebounds throughout the game. He wasn’t alone; Boogie Fland also contributed significantly, delivering a double-double with 12 points alongside 11 assists. Other key contributors included Adou Thiero with 14 points, Karter Knox who added 11 points, and D.J. Wagner with 10 points. Impressively, every starter for Arkansas reached double figures in scoring. From the bench, Trevon Brazile added 11 points and collected nine rebounds, while Billy Richmond III also chipped in with 10 points.
Arkansas got off to a quick start in the game, with Aidoo hitting the scoreboard first by scoring five points. They built an early lead, going up 12-3. As the first half progressed, Richmond caught fire, scoring seven straight points which extended the Razorbacks’ lead to 28-17. By halftime, Arkansas held a comfortable 54-31 advantage.
The Razorbacks maintained their momentum into the second half, launching an impressive 8-0 run that pushed their lead to 36 points. The peak of their dominance was reached when Aidoo scored in the paint, raising the lead to a staggering 37 points with just about 9 minutes left on the clock.
For North Carolina A&T, Ryan Forrest was the standout player, leading the team with 19 points and grabbing eight rebounds. Landon Glasper also contributed with 16 points to his name.
This game represented the second home match for the Razorbacks this month, and they are set to host Oakland on December 30 for their next outing.
