HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. — In a decisive match on Saturday, Trey Robinson showcased his skills, pouring in 20 points that helped Northern Kentucky secure a 58-47 victory over South Carolina State.
Robinson not only contributed significantly to the scoreboard but also grabbed five rebounds, bolstering the Norse’s performance to improve their record to 7-6 for the season.
In addition to Robinson’s standout play, Sam Vinson added to the team’s efforts with 12 points and matched Robinson’s five rebounds. Randall Pettus II played a crucial role as well, finishing with eight points on a shooting line of 3 for 9, including 2 for 5 from three-point territory.
On the other side, Colin McKenzie led the scoring for the Bulldogs, totaling 13 points while Omar Croskey contributed an additional eight points. South Carolina State’s performance brings their season record to 6-8, as they look to bounce back in upcoming games.
