DURHAM, N.C. — Colby Garland scored 17 points in Longwood’s 82-67 triumph over North Carolina Central on Friday evening.
In addition to his point contribution, Garland secured five rebounds for the Lancers (11-3). Michael Christmas contributed significantly with 14 points, shooting 50% from the field, including an impressive 4 of 6 from three-point range, along with five rebounds. Elijah Tucker also played a vital role in the win, netting 13 points and making all of his five field goal attempts, while hitting 3 of 6 from the free-throw line.
For the Eagles (6-9), the top scorer was Po’Boigh King, who had a solid performance with 21 points, six rebounds, and two steals. Keishon Porter added a total of 10 points to the scoreboard for North Carolina Central. Isaac Parson also contributed, finishing the game with nine points and dishing out 10 assists.
Looking ahead, Longwood is set to face SMU on Sunday in an away game, while North Carolina Central will take on N.C. A&T on Saturday.
