MURFREESBORO, Tennessee — In an exciting matchup on Thursday evening, Middle Tennessee secured a close victory over Lipscomb, triumphing 67-65 as Jestin Porter put forth a commendable performance, contributing 14 points along with eight rebounds for the Blue Raiders, who now hold a record of 9-3.
Essam Mostafa also played a significant role, scoring 12 points on 4-of-11 shooting from the floor and 4-of-8 at the foul line, while collecting 10 rebounds, bolstering the team’s efforts on both ends of the court.
The Bisons, with a current standing of 7-5, saw Jacob Ognacevic lead their scoring with an impressive 32 points, alongside six rebounds and four blocks. Gyasi Powell also chipped in with 11 points, but unfortunately, the loss snapped a five-game winning streak for Lipscomb.
