DAVIS, Calif. — UC Davis secured a 74-66 win over Idaho on Wednesday, with Ty Johnson leading the charge by scoring 19 points for the Aggies.
Johnson’s performance included four steals, contributing significantly on the defensive end for UC Davis, who improved to a 7-4 record this season.
Niko Rocak supported the effort by adding 13 points, notably shooting 3 of 4 from the field and hitting 6 of 8 at the free throw line.
Besides scoring, he tallied 11 rebounds, four steals, and four blocks, showcasing a well-rounded game.
Leo DeBruhl also played a vital role, finishing with 11 points.
He shot 3 of 9 overall, including 1 for 3 from beyond the arc, while maintaining a perfect 4 for 4 effort from the free-throw line, along with five rebounds and six assists.
On the opposing side, the Vandals struggled despite Kolton Mitchell’s impressive performance, as he led them with 26 points and recorded six steals.
His efforts, however, were not enough to clinch the victory for Idaho, which now holds a 4-8 record.
Takai Hardy contributed significantly with a double-double, scoring 13 points and pulling down 10 rebounds.
Jojo Anderson chipped in with 12 points, but the team fell short in their overall effort.
Both teams are set to return to action on Saturday, with UC Davis preparing to visit Pepperdine while Idaho heads off to face Pacific.
