Hargress nets 22 points as UC Riverside defeats Montana State 83-80

RIVERSIDE, Calif. — In an exciting matchup on Wednesday, Barrington Hargress contributed significantly with 22 points, leading UC Riverside to a narrow 83-80 victory over Montana State.
Hargress also demonstrated his playmaking ability by dishing out 10 assists, showcasing his skills on both ends of the court, helping the Highlanders improve their record to 8-4.
Kaleb Smith supported the team’s efforts with a solid performance, scoring 18 points on 6 of 10 shooting, which included 1 for 3 from beyond the arc, and he was 5 for 7 at the free-throw line. Additionally, he grabbed eight rebounds, further solidifying his impact on the game.
Isaiah Moses added to the scoring with 11 points, hitting 3 of 7 from the floor while sinking all four of his free-throw attempts, including 1 for 3 from three-point territory.
The Bobcats put forth a strong effort, led by Brandon Walker, who delivered an impressive 31 points and made two steals. Max Agbonkpolo also played a crucial role for Montana State, contributing 20 points and pulling down six rebounds, but their efforts fell just short.
