SALT LAKE CITY — In a commanding performance, the Utah Utes triumphed over Florida A&M with a score of 89-59 on Tuesday evening, showcasing the talents of their reserve players. Both Mike Sharavjamts and Mason Madsen contributed significantly to the team, each netting 15 points in the matchup.

Sharavjamts had an impressive shooting night, converting 6 of 7 attempts, including three successful 3-pointers, while also adding four assists to his stats. Madsen showed his shooting prowess as well, making 5 of 9 shots from beyond the arc. Additionally, Ezra Ausar scored 12 points, and Lawson Lovering contributed 10 points to the Utes’ overall effort.

Florida A&M was led by Kaleb Washington, who tallied 11 points, hitting two 3-pointers coming off the bench. Jordan Chatman chipped in with 10 points for the Rattlers, who now hold a 3-6 record and remain winless on the road at 0-6.

Utah made a strong statement in the first half, as Sharavjamts scored 13 points, helping the Utes establish a solid lead at 50-31 by halftime. The team shot a robust 55% from the field, hitting 8 of 18 from three-point range, although they struggled at the free-throw line, converting just 6 of 16 attempts before the break.

The second half saw Utah extend their lead to as much as 30 points, with a free throw from Caleb Lohner at the 9:45 mark. Madsen’s 3-pointer shortly after pushed the Utes to their largest lead of the game at 73-38. Overall, Utah finished the game shooting 54.8%, making 11 of 29 from three-point territory and converting 10 of 24 at the free-throw line. On the other hand, Florida A&M shot 37.7% overall, with 9 of 27 attempts from three-point range, and managed to hit 10 of 14 from the foul line.

Next up for Utah is a game against Iowa, set to take place on Saturday at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Meanwhile, Florida A&M will be heading to face BYU on Friday.
