EL PASO, Texas — Otis Frazier III played a pivotal role in UTEP’s success, scoring 18 points as the Miners triumphed over Tarleton State with a score of 67-62 on Monday night.
Frazier demonstrated impressive shooting skills, hitting 4 of 9 attempts from the field and finishing a perfect 10 for 10 from the charity stripe, contributing significantly to UTEP’s record of 7-3 this season. In addition, Corey Camper Jr. had a solid outing, adding 11 points, along with three steals. Devon Barnes matched him with another 11 points, showcasing UTEP’s balanced offensive effort.
For the Texans, who now sit at 3-9, Bubu Benjamin was the standout performer, also scoring 18 points and notching three steals. Jordan Mizell delivered a noteworthy performance with 14 points, while Keitenn Bristow chipped in with 13 points and secured six rebounds, contributing to the team’s collective effort.
During the first half, Camper helped establish UTEP’s lead by scoring nine points, which allowed the Miners to take a comfortable 32-23 advantage into halftime. After the break, Frazier stepped up his game, adding 12 points in the second half to help UTEP maintain their lead against Tarleton State.
