SAN FRANCISCO — In an electrifying matchup, the Dallas Mavericks and Golden State Warriors set a new NBA record by totaling 48 three-pointers on Sunday night.
Golden State sank 27 shots from beyond the arc, while the Mavericks contributed with 21 in a thrilling 143-133 triumph for Dallas at the Chase Center.

Klay Thompson led the offensive charge for the Mavericks, nailing seven three-pointers against his former team, marking his second meeting with them in just over a month.
His long-time teammate, Stephen Curry, also claimed seven three-pointers in the contest. Meanwhile, Luka Doncic showcased his skills by hitting six out of eleven shots from deep, ultimately achieving his 80th career triple-double, which included a season-high of 45 points.

Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd praised the high level of shooting from both teams, stating, “The shot making was at a high, both teams shot the ball extremely well from 3.
It was a fun game to watch, a fun game to participate in and making shots, and both teams did that at a high level tonight.”

Additionally, Draymond Green reached impressive season highs with five three-pointers and 21 points, while fellow Warrior Andrew Wiggins matched him with five long-range shots of his own.
Doncic’s impressive performance included shooting 16 for 23 overall, nailing 9 of his first 11 with four 3-pointers, amassing 28 points by halftime alone.

With 2,549 career three-pointers, Thompson is now just 11 behind Reggie Miller, who sits at fifth place in the all-time rankings with 2,560.
Damian Lillard holds the fourth spot with 2,683 threes, putting Thompson in pursuit of that milestone.

“I love shooting at Chase Center,” Thompson expressed. “I’ve been lucky enough to set records here and have incredible memories.”
Meanwhile, Curry retains his position as the all-time leader in three-pointers made, with a staggering 3,832.
He is followed by James Harden at 3,010 and Ray Allen at 2,973.
