KENT, Ohio — In a commanding performance, VonCameron Davis tallied 17 points as Kent State secured an 82-57 win over Mercyhurst on Sunday night.

Davis showcased his shooting ability by going 5 of 9 from the field, hitting 2 of 5 from beyond the arc, and converting 5 of 8 free throws for the Golden Flashes (8-2). Teammate Cli’Ron Hornbeak also made a significant contribution, recording 15 points alongside six rebounds. Marquis Barnett added 15 points as well, displaying solid efficiency with a shooting line of 4 for 10 overall, while being perfect from the charity stripe with 7 for 7.

On the side of Mercyhurst (6-7), Jeff Planutis was the standout performer with 16 points, followed closely by Aidan Reichert who contributed 12 points. Jake Lemelman also made his presence felt, scoring 11 points and registering two steals.
