EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. — In an impressive display of skill, Ray’Sean Taylor contributed significantly to SIU-Edwardsville’s dominating victory against Eureka, with the final score being 100-52 on Sunday.
Taylor excelled particularly in his three-point shooting, making 6 of his 9 attempts from beyond the arc, and finished the game with a total of 18 points for the Cougars, who now hold a record of 7 wins and 4 losses.
In addition to Taylor’s performance, Jordan Pickett also had a solid game, scoring 17 points. He was effective shooting the basketball, going 4 for 7 from the field, including 3 for 6 on three-pointers, and he also made 6 out of 7 free throws.
Not to be overlooked, Ring Malith contributed to the team’s success as well, scoring 16 points on an efficient 6 for 7 shooting night, with a perfect 3 for 3 from the three-point line.
For the Red Devils, Raymond Bandzoumouna Jr. was the standout player, leading his team with 10 points. Sam DeJesus supported the scoring effort by adding 8 points of his own.
