BALTIMORE — In a thrilling contest on Sunday, Will Thomas showcased his scoring ability, netting 27 points which contributed significantly to Morgan State’s 86-76 victory over Campbell.
Thomas also amassed seven rebounds in what was a strong all-around performance for the Bears, who improved to a 6-8 record. Kameron Hobbs was another standout for Morgan State, scoring 21 points with an impressive shooting percentage, hitting 8 of 12 attempts from the field. Hobbs also made 2 of 5 from beyond the arc and 3 of 4 from the free-throw line, while additionally dishing out five assists. Marland Harris supported the team with nine points, demonstrating efficiency by shooting 4 of 5.
Leading the charge for the Fighting Camels, who now hold a 5-6 record, was Nolan Dorsey, who scored 21 points and secured six rebounds. Jasin Sinani also put forth a solid performance, adding 16 points, six rebounds, and four assists to the team’s effort. Israel Yaw contributed to the scoreboard with 10 points.
During the game, Thomas tallied nine points in the first half, but Morgan State found themselves trailing 33-31 by halftime. However, Thomas exploded in the second half, contributing 18 points to help his team seal the 10-point victory.
Morgan State is set to face Iowa State in their next game, which will take place on the road next Sunday, while Campbell will be playing against Longwood at home on Wednesday.
