JOHANNESBURG — The final match of the Twenty20 series between South Africa and Pakistan, which was set to take place at the Wanderers, was canceled due to adverse weather conditions on Saturday.
Officials made the decision to call off the game after a two-hour wait following the scheduled start time, as persistent rain and lightning made it impossible to commence play.
With this outcome, South Africa secured a series victory of 2-0, marking their first win in a bilateral series since August 2022.
Looking ahead, the two teams are set to compete in a three-match one-day international series starting on Tuesday in Paarl. This will be followed by two test matches, which promise to be an exciting continuation of this cricketing rivalry.
