TUCSON, Ariz. — Star wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan from Arizona has made the decision to enter the NFL draft after a remarkable three-year collegiate career.
McMillan made his announcement on Instagram Thursday, stating, “Now, it’s time to take the next step. … I’m officially declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft. This is only the beginning.”
When he arrived at the University of Arizona in 2022, McMillan was recognized as one of the most highly touted recruits in the school’s history, quickly making a significant impact on the field. The 6-foot-5 wideout from Southern California, who has roots in Hawaii, dominated his freshman year, leading all freshmen nationwide with impressive stats of 39 receptions for 702 yards and eight touchdowns.
In his junior season in 2023, McMillan showcased his talent once again, earning a spot on the Associated Press preseason All-American list. Despite the Wildcats facing challenges during the season, he remained a top player, ranking in the top five nationally with 84 catches and amassing 1,319 receiving yards. His performance earned him first-team All-Big 12 honors from the AP.
Throughout his collegiate journey, McMillan has set records, becoming Arizona’s all-time leader in receiving yards with a total of 3,423 over three seasons. Analysts predict that he will likely be selected in the first round of the upcoming NFL draft, marking a promising future for the talented receiver.
