Evan Mobley suffers ankle sprain in Miami, Cavaliers announce he will miss the second half.

MIAMI — The Cleveland Cavaliers faced a difficult blow during their game against the Miami Heat on Sunday as forward Evan Mobley sustained a left ankle sprain in the first half.
With just 12 minutes of play under his belt, Mobley managed to score four points before being ruled out for the remainder of the game, as announced by the Cavaliers during halftime.

Prior to the injury, Mobley was delivering an impressive season, averaging a personal best of 18.9 points. Only a day earlier, he had an outstanding performance, setting a career-high with 41 points in a game against Charlotte.

In response to Mobley’s absence, the Cavaliers opted to fill his position with Georges Niang at the start of the second half in Miami. The team looks to regroup as they have a light schedule ahead, with only one game lined up for the week against the Washington Wizards on Friday night.
Notably, the diminished schedule is due to the ongoing NBA Cup knockout round, impacting most teams across the league.
