LEWISTON, N.Y. — In a strong performance on Sunday, Adam Clark scored 18 points to lead the Merrimack Warriors to an 80-62 win over the Niagara Purple Eagles.
Clark also contributed significantly with nine assists, helping the Warriors to improve their record to 4-6 overall and 2-0 within the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
Devon Savage matched Clark with 18 points, showcasing his shooting skills by making six of ten attempts from beyond the arc. Meanwhile, Sean Trumper displayed efficiency, going 6 for 7 from the field, including a perfect 3 for 3 from three-point territory, accumulating a total of 16 points.
For the Purple Eagles, Jhaylon Martinez emerged as the top scorer with 14 points and pulled down six rebounds. Zion Russell added 13 points and matched Martinez with six rebounds, while Jaeden Marshall finished the game with 11 points.
The result illustrates a continuing trend as Merrimack looks to build momentum in the league, while Niagara will be seeking to bounce back in their upcoming fixtures.
