WORCESTER, Mass. — In an exciting matchup, Cent. Conn. St. overcame Holy Cross with a score of 69-56 on Saturday, thanks to a standout performance by Jordan Jones, who contributed 20 points to his team’s success.

Jones was also a defensive powerhouse, recording six steals for the Blue Devils, who improved their season record to 6-3. Teammate Abdul Momoh also played a crucial role, scoring 12 points alongside three steals. Devin Haid matched this scoring output with 12 points as well, achieving an impressive shooting line of 4 for 8, which included a notable 3 for 5 from three-point range.

On the other side, Max Green led the scoring for Holy Cross (5-5) with 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Tyler Boston contributed to the Crusaders’ effort with 13 points and five assists, while Caleb Kenney made his mark with 12 points, nine rebounds, and impactful defense that included two steals and three blocks.

The game turned in favor of Cent. Conn. St. when they took the lead with 6:53 left in the first half and maintained that advantage throughout the rest of the game. By halftime, they were ahead 38-25, largely due to Haid’s strong first half. The Blue Devils then solidified their lead in the second half with an 11-3 scoring run that stretched their advantage from six points to 14. Jones was instrumental in this phase, netting 14 of his points in the latter half, helping secure the victory against Holy Cross.
