MONROE, La. — The UT Arlington Mavericks triumphed over UL Monroe with a score of 84-70 on Monday evening, showcasing a strong performance from key players. Lance Ware stood out with 17 points, while Jaxon Ellingsworth contributed significantly with 16 points.

In addition to his scoring, Ware also pulled down nine rebounds and recorded three steals for the Mavericks, who now hold a record of 4-5 this season. Ellingsworth was efficient in his shooting, making 7 out of 9 attempts from the field, including two successful three-pointers, and also grabbing nine rebounds. Jaden Wells further contributed to the team’s effort with three three-pointers and a total of 11 points.

On the other side, the Warhawks struggled to keep pace, despite Jacob Wilson and Tyreese Watson each scoring 16 points to lead their team. Wilson added six rebounds to his tally, while Watson managed to secure two steals in the game. Jalen Bolden rounded out UL Monroe’s scoring with a solid performance, finishing with 12 points, along with 11 rebounds and two steals. The Warhawks now sit at 3-7 for the season.
