KINGSTON, R.I. — In an exhilarating matchup on Monday night, Rhode Island maintained its undefeated record by outlasting Yale with a score of 84-78. David Green was the standout performer for the Rams, contributing 26 points and grabbing nine rebounds.
Rhode Island also saw strong performances from Sebastian Thomas, who made a perfect 10 out of 10 from the free-throw line and tallied 20 points along with six assists and three steals. Additionally, Jaden House added a valuable 10 points to the team’s total.
On the other side, John Poulakidas was the top scorer for the Bulldogs, finishing the game with 25 points. Bez Mbeng also made a noteworthy contribution with 15 points and four assists, while Nick Townsend offered support with 14 points and five assists.
Despite Green’s impressive first-half performance, where he scored 14 points, Rhode Island found itself down by one at halftime, with the Bulldogs leading 35-34. However, the second half saw Sebastian Thomas step up significantly, scoring 18 points to help the Rams secure the victory and improve their record to 8-0.
