FAIRFIELD, Conn. — In a thrilling matchup on Sunday, Jamie Bergens dazzled on the court with a remarkable performance, scoring 20 points to help lead the Fairfield Stags to a close 78-74 victory against the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights.

Bergens contributed more than just points, as he also recorded three steals, showcasing his defensive skills for the Stags, who now sit at a record of 4-4 this season.

Peyton Smith was another standout for Fairfield, finishing the game with 16 points and dominating the boards with 10 rebounds. Deon Perry contributed to the team’s success with nine points, converting three out of his eight shooting attempts and going three for five from the charity stripe.

On the other side of the court, Fairleigh Dickinson’s Jo’el Emanuel was the top scorer for the Knights, netting 16 points in the effort. Dylan Jones also made a significant impact by adding 14 points, while Terrence Brown chipped in with 12 points, eight rebounds, and four assists.
