Federal authorities are currently looking into the circumstances surrounding an emergency landing that occurred in Las Vegas involving a Frontier Airlines plane. The Federal Aviation Administration has reported that Frontier Flight 1326, which had 190 passengers on board and was traveling from San Diego, was in the midst of landing at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas on Saturday afternoon when the crew detected smoke in the cockpit and subsequently declared an emergency. Emergency crews at the airport were able to extinguish a fire that erupted in the right engine of the aircraft following its landing.

Eyewitnesses present at the airport observed flames and smoke emanating from the underside of the plane during the incident. Despite the alarming sight, Frontier Airlines officials have stated that no injuries were reported. All 190 passengers and seven crew members were able to safely disembark the plane using stairs and were then transported to the terminal.

Following the emergency landing, the National Transportation Safety Board has disclosed that a joint investigation with the FAA is now underway to determine the cause of the incident. The collaboration between the two agencies is aimed at gathering information and conducting a thorough analysis to ascertain what led to the smoke in the cockpit and subsequent engine fire aboard the Frontier Airlines aircraft.
