BRADENTON, Fla. — Tommy Pham has reached a one-year agreement with the Pittsburgh Pirates, which guarantees him a salary of $4,025,000. Additionally, Pham has the opportunity to earn performance bonuses totaling $250,000 as part of the contract.

The 37-year-old outfielder, whose birthday is on March 8, stands to gain $125,000 each for reaching 475 and 525 plate appearances. This will mark his tenure with his tenth major league team, and the contract details were disclosed last Sunday.

Performance incentives include a $50,000 bonus for being named an All-Star, $75,000 for winning the Silver Slugger award, and $25,000 for achieving a Gold Glove award. In terms of MVP voting, Pham can earn $250,000 if he secures the top spot, $150,000 for second place, and $100,000 for third. He can also receive $50,000 if he is named World Series MVP and $25,000 for the League Championship Series MVP.

During the previous season, Pham played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago White Sox, and Kansas City Royals, finishing with a batting average of .248. He recorded 20 doubles, nine home runs, and 39 RBIs throughout the season.

Across his 11-year Major League Baseball career, Pham has maintained a .258 batting average, with 139 home runs, 470 RBIs, and 126 stolen bases. His career has seen him represent various teams, including St. Louis (2014-2018, 2024), Tampa Bay (2018-2019), San Diego (2020-2021), Cincinnati (2022), Boston (2022), New York Mets (2023), Arizona (2023), as well as the White Sox and Royals.
