PINE BLUFF, Ark. — In an impressive performance, Antonio Madlock scored 20 points as Alabama State secured a 75-63 victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Saturday evening.

Madlock also contributed eight rebounds for the Hornets, who now hold a record of 11-14 overall and 7-5 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference. Micah Simpson added 13 points to the team’s tally, showing his shooting prowess by hitting 3 of 7 attempts from beyond the arc and perfectly sinking all his free throws (4 for 4). CJ Hines chipped in with 12 points, shooting 5 of 12 from the floor and making 2 of 5 from the 3-point line.

For the Golden Lions, who are now 4-21 and 1-11 in conference play, Kyle Brown led the scoring with 13 points. Caleb Jones supported the effort with 11 points. Doctor Bradley made a notable impact as well, recording a double-double with 10 points, 11 rebounds, and also contributing four assists, two steals, and two blocks to his team’s performance.

Looking ahead, both teams are set to compete again on Monday. Alabama State is set to face Mississippi Valley State, while Arkansas-Pine Bluff will be hosting Alabama A&M.
