COLUMBUS, Ohio — In an impressive performance, John Mobley Jr. and Micah Parrish each scored 21 points, leading Ohio State to a decisive 93-69 win over Washington on Wednesday evening.

The Buckeyes showcased their offensive prowess with Bruce Thornton adding 17 points and Aaron Bradshaw contributing 12 points, all while shooting a perfect 5 for 5, including two 3-pointers. With this victory, Ohio State improved their record to 15-10 overall and 7-7 in the Big Ten.

Ohio State demonstrated remarkable shooting accuracy, hitting 58.2% of their shots (32 for 55) overall, including a stellar 61.1% (11 for 18) from beyond the arc. Meanwhile, Washington (12-12, 3-10) received notable contributions from reserves DJ Davis, Zoom Diallo, and Tyler Harris, each scoring 14 points. The Huskies managed to take an early lead thanks to Diallo’s layup just 24 seconds into the match.

The Buckeyes quickly regained control, with Sean Stewart’s tip-in extending Ohio State’s lead to double digits at 26-17 with 9:45 left in the first half. Parrish later executed a crucial four-point play with 3:55 remaining before halftime, increasing the lead to 43-31. Ohio State maintained a significant advantage throughout the rest of the game, with Parrish having another three-point play followed by a 3 from Mobley, closing the half with a 51-36 edge.

Thornton’s three-pointer at the 17:38 mark of the second half pushed Ohio State’s lead to over 20 points at 59-38. Mobley further tightened the grip on the game by sinking two free throws with just 5:52 left, increasing their lead to 86-56.

This victory marks Ohio State’s fifth win in their last seven games after previously enduring a three-game losing stretch. Washington is set to face Penn State this Saturday, while Ohio State will host No. 20 Michigan on Sunday.
