Akron, Ohio — Nate Johnson showcased an impressive performance, scoring 22 points as the Akron Zips defeated the Western Michigan Broncos 105-92 on Tuesday evening, marking the team’s twelfth consecutive win.
In addition to Johnson’s standout performance, he also contributed six rebounds to his team’s efforts. Tavari Johnson supported the Zips (19-5, 11-0 Mid-American Conference) with 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting, including two successful three-pointers. Amani Lyles also made a significant impact, finishing the game with 15 points and an unblemished shooting record of 7-for-7 from the field.
