HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. — In an intense matchup Saturday night, Andre Snoddy delivered a standout performance for Stony Brook, scoring 27 points and grabbing 12 rebounds, contributing significantly to the team’s 80-75 win over Hofstra.
With this victory, the Seawolves improved their record to 6-19 overall and 2-10 within the Coastal Athletic Association. CJ Luster II also shone brightly for Stony Brook, finishing the game with 26 points. He had an impressive shooting night, hitting 6 of his 9 attempts from the field, including 5 of 7 from beyond the arc, and converting 9 of 10 free throws.
On the opposing side, Cruz Davis was the top performer for the Hofstra Pride, netting 24 points along with four assists and two steals. Jean Aranguren made a notable contribution as well, scoring 17 points and providing nine assists, while Michael Graham added a solid 13 points and secured 10 rebounds.
Luster’s critical contribution in the second half, where he scored 18 points, was pivotal in clinching the five-point victory for the Seawolves.
Looking ahead, both teams are set to compete again on Thursday, with Stony Brook preparing to face Monmouth at home and Hofstra traveling to take on William & Mary.
