KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Jacksen Moni was instrumental in leading North Dakota State to a 78-72 victory over Kansas City on Thursday evening, contributing a notable 24 points. Moni displayed his offensive prowess with a shooting performance of 10 out of 18 from the field, which included three shots made from beyond the arc on six attempts. Along with Moni, Noah Feddersen added depth to the Bison’s offense with 17 points and secured 10 rebounds, while Jacari White played a significant role as well, tallying 15 points and shooting efficiently with four of his seven attempts hitting their mark, including three for five from three-point territory. White also maintained a perfect record at the charity stripe, sinking all four of his free throw attempts.
On the other hand, Jamar Brown emerged as the standout player for the Kangaroos, finishing the game with a commendable 26 points, 12 rebounds, and three steals. Melvyn Ebonkoli followed up with 18 points, six rebounds, and two blocks, contributing to Kansas City’s efforts. Additionally, Babacar Diallo chipped in with 11 points for the team. However, the loss marked an unfortunate continuation of the Kangaroos’ struggles, as they extended their losing streak to eight consecutive games.
Looking ahead, both teams are set to compete again this Saturday. North Dakota State will travel to Omaha, while Kansas City will host North Dakota in their next matchup.
