GREELEY, Colo. — In a thrilling encounter on Thursday night, the Montana Grizzlies triumphed over the Northern Colorado Bears with a final score of 86-78. Money Williams was a standout performer for Montana, contributing 19 points to their victory, along with eight rebounds.
The Grizzlies, now holding a record of 16 wins and 8 losses with a 9-2 standing in the Big Sky Conference, also saw solid efforts from Te’Jon Sawyer, who finished the game with 15 points and seven rebounds after shooting an impressive 6 of 9 from the field. Kai Johnson added to the scoring effort, netting 14 points by going 4 for 8 from the floor and 6 of 7 from the free-throw line.
On the opposing side, the Bears, boasting a record of 17-7 and also 9-2 in the conference, were led by Quinn Denker, who scored 21 points. Isaiah Hawthorne supported the team with 17 points and seven rebounds, while Langston Reynolds rounded out their performance with 14 points and six assists.
