DOVER, Delaware — In a thrilling match on Monday night, Kaseem Watson set a personal record by scoring 30 points, leading Delaware State to a narrow 84-82 victory over Morgan State.

Watson’s performance was pivotal for the Hornets, who improved their season record to 12-10 and their Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) standing to 4-3. Along with his scoring, Watson contributed seven rebounds, showcasing his all-around skillset on the court. His teammates also played significant roles, with Robert Smith chipping in 18 points, along with six assists and four steals, while Martaz Robinson added 15 points to the scoreboard.

On the other side, the Bears’ Ahmarie Simpkins delivered an impressive performance, scoring 26 points and providing five assists in an effort to keep his team competitive.
