WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — In an impressive display, Kyle Pulliam contributed significantly from the bench, scoring 18 points to help William & Mary secure a convincing 90-75 win over Charleston on Monday evening.
Pulliam’s stats were remarkable, as he made 6 of 9 shots, including 2 of 5 from beyond the arc, and finished a perfect 4 for 4 from the free-throw line. This victory improves William & Mary’s record to 14-9 overall and 8-2 in the Coastal Athletic Association. Other notable performances included Isaiah Mbeng with 12 points and Gabe Dorsey adding 11 points to the scoreboard.
On the opposing side, the Cougars, now with a record of 17-6 and 7-3 in conference play, were led by Derrin Boyd, who netted 21 points while also providing five assists. Ante Brzovic was impactful as well, contributing 20 points, securing eight rebounds, and blocking two shots. Justas Stonkus rounded out the scoring for Charleston with 13 points.
William & Mary entered halftime with a narrow two-point advantage, with Noah Collier playing a vital role by scoring 10 points in the first half. The Tribe quickly gained momentum in the second half, beginning with an 8-0 scoring run that transformed their four-point lead into a comfortable 12-point margin. Notably, Mbeng played a crucial role by scoring all of his points during the second half, ensuring that the Tribe maintained their lead throughout the game.
