BOZEMAN, Mont. — In a thrilling game on Saturday night, Montana State edged out Portland State with a final score of 74-73, thanks to a standout performance from Patrick McMahon, who tallied 21 points.

McMahon also contributed significantly on the boards, grabbing nine rebounds for the Bobcats, who now hold a record of 10-13, including 5-5 in the Big Sky Conference. Tyler Patterson supported the effort with 11 points, showcasing his shooting skills by connecting on three of his seven attempts from the field, with a notable three out of five from beyond the three-point line. Other key contributors for Montana State included Jabe Mullins and Sam Lecholat, who both contributed eight points each.

The Vikings, who currently have a record of 13-9 and 5-4 in the conference, were led by Terri Miller Jr., who had an impressive game with 25 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
