FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Nique Clifford showcased an impressive performance on Tuesday night, contributing 22 points that propelled Colorado State to a 79-58 victory over Air Force.

In addition to his scoring prowess, Clifford recorded a double-double with 11 rebounds and also dished out seven assists. The Rams, boasting a record of 14-7 and sitting at 8-2 in the Mountain West Conference, had other notable performances as well. Jalen Lake chipped in with 14 points, shooting well with a 5 of 9 accuracy, which included two three-pointers. Jaylen Crocker-Johnson also made a mark, finishing with 13 points after hitting 5 of 9 from the field, with two of those being from beyond the arc.

On the opposing side, Ethan Taylor led the Falcons with 22 points, complemented by two steals. Jeffrey Mills contributed nine points along with six rebounds, while Kyle Marshall added seven points and six boards to the team’s efforts. Unfortunately for Air Force, this loss extended their current losing streak to 11 games, leaving their record at 3-18 and 0-10 in conference play.

The matchup started off competitively, with Colorado State holding a narrow edge at halftime, leading 38-37. Lake was instrumental during the first half, scoring 10 points and keeping the game within reach. However, Colorado State seized control just over two minutes into the second half and maintained the lead for the remainder of the game. Clifford’s significant contribution of 13 points after the break played a crucial role in securing the win for the Rams.
