CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — In a thrilling matchup on Thursday night, Samford clinched a 73-69 victory over Chattanooga, thanks in large part to Jaden Brownell’s impressive performance, where he scored 20 points.
Brownell demonstrated exceptional shooting efficiency, making 6 of his 10 field goal attempts and finishing a perfect 7 for 7 from the free-throw line. The Bulldogs now hold a record of 16 wins and 4 losses, with a conference record of 6-1 in the Southern Conference.
Another key contributor for Samford was Josh Holloway, who added 10 points to the scoreboard. He achieved an efficient shooting night as well, going 3 for 5 from the field and making all three of his free-throw attempts. Holloway also contributed significantly in other ways, recording five rebounds and five assists. Additionally, Trey Fort chipped in with 10 points, shooting 4 for 6 overall and 1 for 3 from the three-point range.
