MOREHEAD, Ky. — In an impressive performance, George Marshall contributed 14 points to lead Morehead State to a comfortable 82-65 victory over Lindenwood on Saturday.
Marshall’s shooting proved effective as he finished 5 of 13 overall, including a solid 4 of 9 from three-point range for the Eagles, who now hold a record of 12-7 with an impressive 7-1 standing in the Ohio Valley Conference.
Dieonte Miles also had a notable game, scoring 13 points on 6 of 8 shooting and providing a defensive presence with three blocks. Kenny White Jr. supported the team’s effort with 12 points, shooting 5 of 9 from the field, while also contributing eight rebounds and five assists.
On the opposing side, the Lions saw Jadis Jones lead their scoring effort with 16 points and two blocks. Markeith Browning II added 12 points for Lindenwood, and Nathan Johnson Jr. chipped in with 10 points, but the team fell short.
Looking ahead, both teams are set to take the court again on Thursday, with Morehead State traveling to face Eastern Illinois and Lindenwood staying home to compete against Southeast Missouri State.
