PHILADELPHIA — Cooper Noard was instrumental in Cornell’s victory over Pennsylvania, contributing 19 points to help the Big Red secure an 86-76 win on Saturday.
Noard displayed impressive shooting, making 6 of 9 attempts from the field, including 4 of 6 from beyond the arc, while also hitting all 3 of his free throws. In addition to Noard’s standout performance, AK Okereke added 15 points with a shooting line of 5 of 9, going 4 for 4 from the charity stripe. Nazir Williams rounded out the scoring for Cornell by netting 14 points, achieving 5 of 11 shooting and making all of his free throw attempts as well.
For the Quakers, Ethan Roberts was the top scorer, racking up 26 points in the game. Support came from Sam Brown, who added 15 points, while AJ Levine contributed with 13 points and made his mark on defense with three steals.
Looking ahead, both Cornell and Pennsylvania are scheduled to continue their league play on Monday. Cornell will take on Brown at home, while Pennsylvania will travel to face Harvard.
