ARLINGTON, Texas — In a thrilling matchup on Thursday night, Trevan Leonhardt executed a superb fastbreak move, delivering a layup to Jackson Holcombe at the buzzer, leading Utah Valley to a narrow 85-83 win over UT Arlington in overtime.

With the score tied at 83 after Raysean Seamster’s crucial putback for the Mavericks with under six seconds on the clock, Leonhardt quickly pushed the ball down the court. He then passed to Holcombe, who was cutting to the basket for the decisive layup.

Dominick Nelson played a pivotal role for the Wolverines, scoring 25 points and contributing five assists. With just four seconds remaining in regulation, he had two key free throws that brought the game to a 72-72 tie. Tanner Toolson also shone brightly, scoring 22 points with an effective shooting performance that included hitting 7 of 12 field goals, 3 of 6 from beyond the arc, and 5 of 9 from the free-throw line, along with securing three steals. Holcombe wrapped up the game with 8 points, having an efficient shooting night going 4 for 5, and added six rebounds, securing the Wolverines their seventh consecutive win of the season.
